Gemma Christina Arterton born 12 January 1986  is an English actress. Arterton is known for her role as the titular character on the BBC adaptation of Tess of the D’Urbervilles. She made her feature film debut in the British comedy St Trinian’s (2007) where she played Kelly. She then starred as the MI6 agent Strawberry Fields in the James Bond film, Quantum of Solace (2008). In 2009, she starred in the sequel to St Trinian’s entitled St. Trinian’s II: The Legend of Fritton’s Gold. Arterton also stars in the adaptation of Clash of the Titans (2010).
