Amrita Rao born on 17 June 1981 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. She is an Indian actress who appears in Bollywood films. Beginning her career as a model, Rao made her acting debut with Ab Ke Baras (2002). She then starred in Ken Ghosh's love-story Ishq Vishk (2003) and earned a Filmfare nomination in the "Best Female Debut" category. Her younger sister, Preetika Rao, is a Model, Journalist-Columnist and a South-Indian film actress.

Her latest Bollywood Hindi film is Love U...Mr. Kalakaar! where she is performing along with Tushar Kapur, Ram Kapoor, Madhoo, Prem Chopra, Jai Kalra, Kiran Kumar, Snigdha Akolkar.
