Sania Mirza India’s Sania Mirza breezed into the second round of the Australian Open tennis with a 6-1, 6-4 win over Poland’s Marta Domachowska at Melbourne Park here Monday.
Sania next plays Russian tenth seed Nadia Petrova who overcame a late challenge from Kazakh Yaroslava Shvedova to win 6-3, 7-6 (3). Nadia and Sania are levelled at 1-1 with the 26-year-old Russian winning in their previous meeting at the Wimbledon last year.
