Hansika Motwani started off her movie career as a child artiste. Today she is a versatile actress, a well-known model and a famous television star. She has become a household name in India. Thanks to her super hit soap operas on television like "Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi", "Hum 2 Hain Na" "Des Mein Nikla Hoga Chand" and "Tum Bin".
Hansika Motwani was born on August 9, 1991 in Mumbai, India. Her parents Pradeep Motwani, a businessman and Mona Motwani, a dermatologist, were separated in 2004. After “Yahoo" was shelved, Hansika Motwani starred in Rakesh Roshan's "Koi... Mil Gaya" alongside Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta. Later she acted in the film "Jaago" directed by Mehul Kumar. "Jaago" which literally means 'wakeup' is a film based on a true story of a mentally retarded girl, aged 10 years, who was raped on a local train on 14th August 2002. Though the film did not do well at the box office, Hansika Motwani's amazing performance got noticed and was critically acclaimed by the critics.
She also acted in films like "Escape from Taliban" and a Telugu Movie, "Desamuduru" in which she plays the role of a sanyasi. Her other films include, the Amitabh Bachchan starrer, "Hum Kaun Hai?" a remake of the Hollywood film, "The Others"; Dheeraj Kumar's "Aabra Ka Dabra" and "Escape from Taliban".
